My tribute to Hans Rosling

As you probably know by now, last week Hans Rosling died. He had a big impact, also on my life and my career. So here is my visual tribute to a man who'll be desparately missed:

I haven’t read about anyone loving his accent (it is the greatest), but if you want to read more about his amazing presentation skills, his sense for good graphics, his believe in data for a better world and his wonderful life and work, I can recommend the written tributes by

I was a bit surprised how widespread his recognition was. It seems he really mainstreamed development data and data visualization. We should all step up quickly to fill in the gap he left behind.
